About the Drop

MC Yan is a musical and cultural icon in Hong Kong. Beginning with his start as the frontman for the seminal Rap Metal group LMF in the 90s, MC Yan has secured his place as a culture warrior in his home of Hong Kong, and also with the Chinese diaspora around Asia. Also a fine artist, MC Yan has collaborated with artists from The King of Kowloon to Fab 5 Freddy. He has shown his work everywhere, from Paris to the Smithsonian in Washington, DC. He has laser tagged the Tate Modern gallery in London and regularly designs streetwear for brands like Nike and vans.

His last solo album featured a heavy dose of Reggae flavor, and this never-before-released remix of his single ‘Drones’ was remixed by NYC’s DJ Cavo, and It will only be available as an NFT for the LiFTED Love Drop. It comes with a unique, one-of-a-kind Metaboom boombox to play the NFT in.
